Groundnut oil pinit

Kuli Kuli originated in northern Nigeria, specifically in Niger and Kwara states. It is also widely made among the Hausa tribe states such as Kano, Kaduna, Sokoto, and the like, although the Niger people are better known for the production of this than any other part of Northern Nigeria. In that light, this article seeks to teach you how to make groundnut oil.

Our concern here is not how to make Kuli Kuli, but how to make the oil that comes from it.

Let’s go!

Ingredients for Making Groundnut Oil

Procedure for Preparing Groundnut Oil

STEP 1: Roast your groundnuts by using sharp sand and a frying pan with a source of heat. You could get the roasted groundnuts from the market without doing the roasting.

STEP 2: Spread the roasted groundnuts on a flat surface, like a wide tray, and pick out the bad ones and throw them away. This ensures you have better oil at the end of the day.

STEP 3: Use a blender to blend it until it turns into a paste. If it’s in large quantity, I will advise you to take it to a commercial grinding machine to avoid stressing your blender.

STEP 4: After grinding it, pour the paste into a clean cloth and stir very well until oil starts coming out.

STEP 5: Continue string until all excess oil is out. You can use the paste to make your Kuli Kuli snack.

How to Store Groundnut Oil

Preferably, store Kuli Kuli oil in a tight container and do not expose it to moisture.

One advantage of this oil is that it can last indefinitely if no foreign substance or thing enters it.

Nutritional Value of Groundnut Oil

Phytochemicals and vitamin E, both of which are natural antioxidants, are found in groundnut oil. In addition, regular consumption lowers inflammation. Many diseases, including cancer, are said to be prevented by it. Vitamin E keeps the skin healthy and youthful-looking by promoting skin health.

As you have seen above, making your own groundnut oil is not a problem at all. You can make it easily without much stress, except for the stirring. Due to the advancement in technology, it is possible to make kuli kuli using a Kuli Kuli machine. This machine helps reduce the stress of stirring in order to make the oil. It does it for you.

Now that you know how to make Groundnut Oil, you should try making yours too, and have a firsthand experience.
