Taliya da Kifi is yet another delicacy that is loved by many. It is similar to Taliya da Nama. The only difference is the meat and fish. This article seeks to teach you how to make Taliya da Kifi (Yadda ake Taliya da Kifi).

This delicacy is called Spaghetti with Fish Jollof in English. It is very delicious and easy to cook.

How to Make Spaghetti with Fish (Yadda Ake Taliya da Kifi)


Cooking pot
Blender or grater
Wooden spoon
Frying pan


1 packet of spaghetti (taliya)
Seasoning cubes
Vegetable oil or palm oil

Procedure for Preparing Spaghetti with Fish

STEP 1: Over medium heat, put the pot and add water to it. Allow to boil.

STEP 2: Then add the spaghetti (taliya) to it and allow it to cook for 6 minutes. When done, turn off the heat and put it aside.

STEP 3: Put the frying pan over medium heat and add your vegetable oil or palm oil. Add little sliced onions and fry for 3 minutes.

STEP 4: Grate or blend the tomato, pepper, and onions and add them to the frying pan. Allow to fry for 8-10 minutes.

STEP 5: Then pour a little water into the frying pan and add your washed stock fish to it. Allow to fry for 5 minutes.

STEP 6: Over medium heat, put another pot and add the content in STEP 5 to it. Add another cup of water and add the spaghetti. Allow to cook for 5 minutes.

STEP 7: Your Taliya da Kifi is ready.

How to Serve Spaghetti with Fish

Taliya da Kifi is served on plates. It tastes best when served very hot. It is eaten with a fork. Don’t forget to keep drinking water with you or a chilled drink of your choice.

Occasions to Serve Best

This delicacy is frequently consumed as one of the three daily meals — breakfast, lunch, or dinner. There isn’t a particular event that calls for this, but you can serve it at naming ceremonies, festivals, Eids, birthdays, and other events of the sort.

How to Store Spaghetti with Fish

You can store it in a cooler and will last for 24 hours. If you wish to keep it for a much longer period, I will suggest you store it in a freezer or refrigerator. However, you will need to warm it before eating it again.

Taliya da Kifi reduces the risk of heart disease, alleviates depression symptoms, and is a good source of vitamin D.
