Equipment Needed

Cooking pot
Bowl
Knife
Plate
Blender or grater

Ingredients for Making Shinkafa da Taliya

2 cups of rice
¼ packet of spaghetti
Vegetable oil or palm oil
Onions
Pepper
Green pepper
Carrot
Tomatoes
Spices
Seasonings
Salt
Boiled fish or meat with its broth (optional)

Procedure for Preparation of Shinkafa Da Taliya

STEP 1: Over medium heat, pour vegetable or palm oil and add a few sliced onions. Fry for 2 minutes.

STEP 2: Wash your vegetables and cut, grate, or blend them. Keep it aside.

STEP 3: Pour the boiled meat or fish into the oil and allow it to fry for 5 minutes. Pack it and keep it aside.

STEP 4: Pour the cut, grated, or blended vegetables into the cooking pot. Allow to fry for 5 minutes.

STEP 5: Add the broth of either the fish or meat to the cooking pot (remember, this is optional).

STEP 6: Add water to the cooking pot. Also, add the seasonings, spices, and salt to taste. Close the pot lid and allow it to boil.

STEP 7: Wash the rice very well and add it to the cooking pot. Stir very well and allow to cook for 15 minutes, or until half done.

STEP 8: Add the spaghetti and cut carrot to the cooking pot and stir. Allow for 30 minutes of cooking time.

STEP 9: When the water in the cooking pot is no longer visible, add the fried meat and sliced green pepper. Allow to cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the water in the pot has completely drained.

STEP 10: Turn off the heat and put the Shinkafa da Taliya in a warmer.

STEP 11: Your delicacy is ready to be eaten.

How to Serve Shinkafa da Taliya

Shinkafa da Taliya is served on plates, preferably very hot. You can either eat it with a spoon or a fork. Any one of these utensils will do.
